iMac Delated Until 2013?

You know that super-slim iMac that Apple announced alongside the iPad mini? Well, if you were hoping to get your hands on one for the holidays, you may be out of luck. There is a new report that suggests these computers may be delayed until the new calendar year. The advanced procedures in welding may be the cause behind all of this. French website Mac Bidouille says that the original release date estimates of late November for 21.5" model and late 2012 for the 27" model may be pushed back because of this manufacturing delay. A couple weeks ago, during Apple's financial conference call, Tim Cook reminded everyone how crazy Apple is during the holiday season.

"In terms of general shortages on the iMac, we’ll be constrained for the full quarter in a significant way, part of that is that we’re beginning shipping the 21.5-inch iMac in November and the 27-inch in December. And so there will be a short amount of time during the quarter to manufacture and ramp those and I expect the demand to be robust. So we will have a significant shortage there."
This statement hints at the fact that Apple will be trying there very best to pump out these new machines, but there are no guarantees during this busy time.
